Watch Me Juggle

Today I have to go with Monica to a sister school near The Hague, in Zoetermeer. I will be missing a class at the college, which I hate. But if memory serves, it's also one of the groups of students that I don't particularly care for. So I'm going to call in sick to my first class at the college (headache and backpain, which is not a lie actually) and go to this meeting and then skip out early and do my second class.

What totally sucks is that I've got to do about 75 speaking tests at the high school, which will take six full days, meaning that I will have to miss three days of school at the college. It will all work out, but I feel like I'm borrowing from Peter to pay Paul.

As I said, I've got a horrible pain in my neck. It makes it difficult to get back to sleep after I get up and pee. I've been awake for a couple of hours. I pulled it on an entrance ramp as I was going to store my bike. It was raining and the metal ramp (which moves and is slanted downwards) was slippery. Plus I was holding my bike up. So I threw my head back. It's gotten a little worse each day. Hans tried to massage it away, but it didn't do much good. He doesn't ahve a great feel for these things - though he tried. During the day it's okay since I'm moving it. It's just the night when I lay still and it siezes up again.

Brent, at the college, asked me how many classes I can juggle for next term. Apparently I'm over booked right now. He said, "Maybe we could give you more classes and increase your hours." (I'm currently at .45.) I would love to be above .5 as then I would be guaranteed a desk. I just got a phone. I really enjoy the college (all in all).

Teaching is an interesting thing, especially at my advanced age. (I can't take so much crap any more.)
