Jackass

I'm at the college today. I've been shuffling around from desk to desk since I got here, but today is particularly stressful as I was sitting there working when the guy who "owns" the desk walked in. I had to get up and Brent showed me another desk. This one belongs to a guy who is not here a lot. He works in The Hague a couple of days a week.

So I get here and I introduce myself to the only other guy in the room and he nods to me and asks, "Are you American or British."

"American," I say.

"Oh. That's too bad," he says.

You know, I can take that most days. But it's sort of like making a Jew joke to a Jew you're not really good friends with. It's insulting. And then I have to sit there and work? I wanted to throw a stapler at the jerk.
